PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a probe for vitreous surgery in which an inside surface and an outside surface of the leading end of a probe body are made flat, and a hole in the leading end is not left.SOLUTION: A probe for vitreous surgery includes a probe body 11 in which the outside surface 14b and the inside surface 14a of the leading end 14 are plane. At least part of the leading end 14 is dissolved by energy beam irradiation, and then solidified into a granular structure 18.
