PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a safe functional-material containing luteolin that has a functionality such as an anti-inflammatory action or an anticancer action.SOLUTION: Provided is a functional-component luteolin containing labiate-plant extract production method in which a labiate plant is used as the raw material and the raw material is subjected to enzyme treatment using an enzyme having a &bgr；-glucosidase activity. Further, by adding fat and subjecting to agitation treatment, followed by separating and removing the fat, a functional-component luteolin containing and labiate-plant characteristic strong-smell reduced labiate plant extract production method is provided.
