PURPOSE: A disinfectant generator is provided to minimize the activation area of an electrode by improving the electric decomposition efficiency, and to remove the leakage current and hydrogen bromination phenomena. CONSTITUTION: A disinfectant generator comprises an electrolytic cell(400) for generating a disinfectant containing hypochlorous acid by electrolyzing salt water. The electrolytic cell includes a first terminal electrode, a second terminal electrode, and plural bipolar electrodes. The electrodes are formed with a conductive activated catalyst unit applied with an oxidation catalyst or a reducing catalyst, and a non-conductive unit formed with polymers or a non-conductive ceramic membrane.본 발명은 비전도성부와 전도성부를 가지는 복극식 전극에 관한 것으로, 이같은 전극으로 수소 취화 현상을 방지하고, 전류 누설 억제가 가능하여 전극의 효율 및 내구성을 대폭 개선하였다.
