A novel hemostatic composition is provided. The present invention relates to a novel hemostatic composition, and more particularly to a novel hemostatic composition useful for ensuring good hemostasis after gingival resection and keeping the gingival crevice open. According to the present invention, this composition is an extrudable hydrophilic paste-like composition that, when expressed in weight percent relative to the total weight of the composition, contains: An agent, preferably aluminum chloride, 2 to 15% by weight of kaolin clay, preferably kaolin and 10 to 20% by weight of a natural polysaccharide having gelling or thickening ability which may be combined with vegetable fiber. It contains a texture-imparting agent containing one or more kinds, 50 to 70% by weight of water, and 0 to 20% by weight of a wetting agent. Relates to a composition that is -75% by weight.
