The present utility model discloses a mechanical pummelo fruit picker which can harvest pummelo fruits safely and fastly without having the harvester climb to the fruit tree. The embodiments of the mechanical pummelo fruit picker has two major components namely, the head and the pulling assembly. The head comprises a plurality of jaw, one fixed and the other pivotally movable in an arc motion, which serves as the fruit catching member of the fruit picker. The pulling assembly consists of a pole affixed to the head that can be collapsible or fixed for the operators ease of transport and adjustment to height of fruits and a pulling member attached to the movable jaw that is pulled to open the fruit catching member and insert a single or a plurality of pummelo fruit, then released to lock the pummelo fruit inside the fruit catching member. The mechanical pummelo fruit picker is then pulled shortly to detach the pummelo fruit to its fruit stalk.
