PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an engine device to be installed in a working machine in which an emission gas purification device 61 is installed at a higher position at an upper side face of an engine room 92, so that an installation structure of the emission gas purification device 61 is simplified.SOLUTION: In the engine device to be installed in a working machine and including a travelling machine body 1 in which a diesel engine 14 is installed, and an exhaust gas purification device 61 which processes the exhaust gas of the diesel engine 14, an exhaust gas intake port 86 of the exhaust gas purification device 61 is connected to an exhaust pipe 116 of the diesel engine 14, an engine room 92 in which the diesel engine 14 is installed is formed on the travelling machine body 1, installation portions 94 and 95 for the exhaust gas purification device 61 are formed at an upper side face of the engine room 92, and the exhaust gas purification device 61 is installed on the installation portions 94 and 95 at the upper side face of the engine room 92 via an upper placing fixture 96.
