In some variations, the low-frequency stimulation signal is delivered using one or more stimulation sequences, in which the low-frequency stimulation is sequentially delivered to a plurality of stimulation pathways. The stimulation pathways may comprise one or more monopolar stimulation pathways and/or one or more bipolar stimulation pathways.
