The rear cover 31B is configured to be switchable between a closed state where a driving blade body 34 is blocked from the rear so that shredding processing by a waste straw shredding machine 10 is made possible and an open state where the driving blade body 34 is open at the rear. A detection part 81 capable of detecting an open/closed state of the rear cover 31B is provided.
