PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a knob treatment device assembly capable of effectively decreasing the risk of rupture by reducing the size of a knob and capable of reducing the influence on surrounding tissue, and a knob treatment method.SOLUTION: A knob treatment device assembly 10 includes: a holding part 14 which has a gap 13 enabling the entry of a part of an inverted knob 62 and which is configured to be capable of expanding and contracting the gap 13 a drive mechanism 20 which brings about the operation of expanding and contracting the gap 13 and a shaft 12 for delivering the holding part 14 to a target region in a living body.
