The device comprises: a sterilizing body having a plurality of holders capable of holding an IP cassette having tag information, and sterilizing the IP cassette held by the holders by using an ultraviolet lamp a cassette recognizer disposed in a predetermined portion of the sterilizing body, tagged with an inserted or withdrawn IP cassette, and outputting the tag information about the tagged IP cassette and a controller for managing insertion amount data and withdrawal amount data on the basis of the tag information outputted from the cassette recognizer, selecting sterilization time corresponding to a type in tag information of the inserted IP cassette from sterilization time for each of pre-stored various IP cassette types, setting the selected sterilization time in the tag information of the inserted IP cassette, checking a sterilization progress state of the inserted IP cassette on the basis of the sterilization time, and setting the sterilization process state in the tag information of the inserted IP cassette.
