PURPOSE: A drought resistant bottle gourd plant transformed by a recombinant vector containing ABF3 gene derived from Arabidopsis thaliana is provided. CONSTITUTION: A drought resistant bottle gourd plant is prepared by a transforming a bottle gourd plant by a recombinant vector containing ABF3(Abscisic acid responsive elements-binding factor 3) gene. The ABF3 gene has a base sequence of sequence number 1. The recombinant vector is pK2GW7-ABF3 vector. A method for producing the bottle gourd plant comprises: a step of transforming bottle gourd plant cells with the recombinant vector; and a step of redifferentiating a transgenic plant from a transformed bottle gourd plant cell.본 발명은 애기장대 유래의 ABF3(Abscisic acid responsive elements-binding factor 3) 유전자를 포함하는 재조합 벡터로 형질전환되어 가뭄 저항성을 갖는 조롱박 식물체 및 이의 종자, 상기 재조합 벡터를 식물에 형질전환하여 식물의 가뭄 저항성을 증가시키는 방법 및 상기 재조합 벡터로 조롱박 식물 세포를 형질전환하는 단계를 포함하는 가뭄 저항성을 갖는 조롱박 식물체의 제조 방법에 관한 것이다.
