An intramedullary rod for use with a fastener to repair a femur includes an elongate nail extending along a longitudinal axis and having a stem and a head. The head is provided with an aperture extending along an axis at an angle to the longitudinal axis for receiving the fastener. A mechanism is carried by the head for pivoting the axis of the aperture from a first angled position relative to the head to a second angled position relative to the head. Ladite tige intramédullaire consiste en un clou allongé qui sétend le long dun axe longitudinal et qui possède une tige et une tête. La tête est munie dune ouverture qui sétend le long dun axe en formant un angle par rapport à laxe longitudinal pour recevoir la pièce de fixation. La tête supporte un mécanisme destiné à faire pivoter laxe de louverture, à depuis une première position inclinée par rapport à la tête jusquà une seconde position inclinée par rapport à la tête.
