Immunogenic compound that can be administered to humans because it is devoid of toxicity, derived from a regulatory protein for an HIV-1, HIV-2, HTLV-1 or HTLV-2 virus, by chemical treatment using an agent coupling such as an aldehyde, or a carrier protein activated by a pretreatment using an aldehyde, allowing it to be recognized by antibodies directed against said regulatory protein, and to preserve immunogenic properties sufficient to create antibodies neutralizing or blocking said native protein, while having lost at least 50% of the toxic biological properties of said native protein.Composé immunogène administrable à l'homme car dénué de toxicité, dérivant d'une protéine de régulation d'un virus VIH-1, VIH-2, HTLV-1 ou HTLV-2, par traitement chimique à l'aide d'un agent de couplage tel qu'un aldéhyde, ou d'une protéine porteuse activée par un pré-traitement à l'aide d'un aldhéhyde, lui permettant d'êtrereconnu par des anticorps dirigés contre ladite protéine de régulation, et de conserver des propriétes immunogènes suffisantes pour créer des anticorps neutralisant ou bloquant ladite protéine native, tout en ayant perdu au mois 50 % des propriétés biologiques toxiques de ladite protéine native.
