The x-ray source and x-ray receptor are configured to generate images using at least two imaging modes. At least one imaging procedure is executed differently in each of the at least two imaging modes and the at least two imaging modes are temporally spaced. The x-ray source moves relative to the compression arm assembly in one of the at least two imaging modes.
