Method and apparatus for mounting a data transmission device in a communication system including and adhesive pad with pull tab and raised border portions is provided. The adhesive pad may also include a flexible band to fit around the patients arm to firmly secure the adhesive pad onto the patients skin. The flexible band is size adjustable. The pull tab and raised borders on the adhesive pad permit easy single handed application and removal process of the adhesive pad by the patient.
