PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fluid transfer device that can be disconnected from a Luer lock hub more easily.SOLUTION: A fluid transfer device or a connection 2 includes a fluid transfer tip having a tapered friction fitting for a corresponding hub 10. A lever member 34 is mounted pivotably to allow movement relative to the fluid transfer tip. A latch 46 such as a screw portion is mounted on the lever member so as to engage the hub and provide pushing connection (e.g., screwing) in addition to friction fitting. The lever member may optionally be energized resiliently by a spring 40.
