PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a seed tape laying machine having a seed tape automatic cutting function, which is used coupling to a tractor.SOLUTION: The seed tape laying machine lays a seed tape with its main frame 2 coupled to a hitch part 17 of a tractor so that a height position for traction can be adjustable. When cutting a seed tape 11, the hitch part 17 is lifted so that a side close to a front wheel 4 is lifted. This brings a predetermined cutting portion of the seed tape 11 connecting with a berried part 11a to a predetermined cutting position P. Seed tape cutting means drives a motor forward after obtaining information about a status of the seed tape 11 and a position of a cutter arm 19 with a rise and fall information switch and limit switches 22a and 22b, and cuts the seed tape 11 with a cutter 20.
