PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a detection element having high efficiency for converting incoming X rays into an electrical signal and performing detection with high accuracy, a detector, and to provide a manufacturing method for the detection element.
SOLUTION: A multilayer detector cell 15 is formed by layering a plurality of unit detection element parts 18 in a direction of crossing a principal plane of a scintillator element 16, and the element parts 18 each comprises the scintillator element 16, formed so as to have a plate shape and converting the incoming X rays into light, and a photodiode 17 formed on the principal plane to convert the light generated in the scintillator element into an electrical signal.
