Methods and compounds for treating, preventing, reducing the risk of, and/or delaying the onset of a microbial infection in a subject are disclosed herein, wherein the microbial infection is caused by one or more microorganisms (e.g., one or more bacteria) which can be used as a biological weapon, such as (86) ZA 20150Bacillus anthracis, Franciscella tularensis, Yersinia pestis, Burkholderia mallei, and Burkholderia pseudomallei.
