Provided is an inhibitor of an indoleamine 2,3-dioxygenase (IDO) and/or tryptophan 2,3-dioxygenase (TDO) of formula (I) or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof:in which W1, W2, W3, and W4, X, Y, Z1, Z2, and R1-7 are described herein. Further provided is a method of treating or preventing a IDO and/or TDO-mediated disease using an effective amount of the compound of formula (I) or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof.
