The present invention relates to a split coil unit and a coil assembly including the same. The split coil unit is used so that the coil assembly for magnetic resonance imaging made up of closed-loop coils of a plurality of channels is formed on an assembly basis. The split coil unit includes: a first coil section forming a part of the closed-loop coil of the first channel a second coil section forming a part of the closed-loop coil of the second channel adjacent to the first channel and configured as a circuit equivalent to the first coil section. Because the coil configuration can be modified in response to various surface shapes, more accurate images can be acquired. In addition, repair and maintenance can be facilitated because the split coil unit and the coil assembly including the same are provided and anything other than the split coil unit that is required to be replaced does not have to be replaced.본 발명은 분할 코일 단위체 및 이를 포함하는 코일 조립체에 관한 것으로서, 복수 채널의 폐루프 코일들로 구성된 자기공명영상용 코일 조립체를 조립식으로 형성하기 위해 사용되는 분할 코일 단위체로서, 제1 채널의 폐루프 코일의 일부를 이루는 제1 코일부 및 상기 제1 채널에 인접 배치되는 제2 채널의 폐루프 코일의 일부를 이루며, 상기 제1 코일부와 등가 회로로 구성되는 제2 코일부를 포함하는 분할 코일 단위체를 제공함으로써, 다양한 표면의 형상에 대응하여 코일의 구성을 변형시킬 수 있기 때문에 보다 정확한 영상의 획득이 가능해지는 이점이 있고, 분할 코일 단위체 및 이를 포함하는 코일 조립체를 제공하기 때문에 교체가 필요한 분할 코일 단위체만의 교체만 하면 되므로 유지 보수가 용이한 이점이 있다.
