A sprinkler (1) adapted for irrigation of a predetermined area, the sprinkler comprising a sprinkler body (12) having a central axis (X). The body is formed with a an irrigation inlet adapted for receiving irrigation fluid, and a nozzle (30,40) adapted for discharging therethrough a directional jet of the irrigation fluid. The sprinkler (1) further comprises a reciprocal element (50) adapted for performing a reciprocal rotary motion about the central axis (X), and a deflecting member (100) comprising an attachment mechanism for fixed attachment thereof to the reciprocal element. The deflecting member is formed with at least a first deflective surface (112), and is adapted for performing a reciprocal rotary motion about the central axis together with the reciprocal element. The deflecting member is adapted to assume at least a first position with respect to the nozzle (30,40) in which a first portion thereof faces the nozzle, by virtue of which the directional jet is emitted from the sprinkler at a first angle, and at least a second position with respect to the nozzle in which a second portion thereof faces the nozzle, by virtue of which the directional jet is emitted from the sprinkler at a second angle different from the first angle.
