PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide new proteins involved in the proliferation mechanism of gastric or colorectal cancer cells, genes encoding the proteins, as well as methods for producing the same to use in the diagnosis and treatment of gastric cancer or colorectal cancer.SOLUTION: There are provided: new human genes RNF43 as well as CXADRL1 and GCUD1, whose expression is markedly elevated in colorectal cancers, compared to corresponding non-cancerous tissues； and polypeptides encoded by the genes, which can be used in the diagnosis of a cell proliferative disease, and as target molecules for developing drugs against the disease.【課題】胃癌細胞または結腸直腸癌細胞の増殖機構に関与する新規タンパク質、これらのタンパク質をコードする遺伝子、さらにはこれらを産生して胃癌または結腸直腸癌の診断および治療に用いるための方法を提供する。【解決手段】対応する非癌組織と比較して、結腸直腸癌においてその発現が顕著に上昇している新規ヒト遺伝子RNF43、CXADRL1およびGCUD1、これらの遺伝子によってコードされるポリペプチド。細胞増殖性疾患の診断に用いることができ、かつ疾患に対する薬剤を開発するための標的分子として用いることができる。【選択図】図１
