Methods and computer instruction code for monitoring, screening and classifying the response to load of a connective tissue or part thereof are disclosed. The method includes the steps of obtaining or receiving an ultrasound scan of a connective tissue or part thereof and analysing the ultrasound scan to detect one or more region of differential structural disorganisation in the connective tissue or part thereof. The connective tissue or part thereof is then classified according to the detected one or more region of differential structural organisation to thereby monitor the response to load of the connective tissue or part thereof.
