The invention relates to a method for extracting an extract, which containsthe natural mixture of conjugated equine estrogens, by the liquid-liquidextraction of the mixture of conjugated equine estrogens. The extractedmixture is depleted of non-conjugated lipophilic compounds from the groupconsisting of non-conjugated flavonoids, non-conjugated isoflavonoids, non-conjugated norisoprenoids, non-conjugated steroids, particularly androstaneand pregnane steroids, and comparable non-conjugated compounds.
