[0001] The present invention is directed to an inexpensive crisping/recrisping technology for optimal use as a systematic, proactive, preventative technology for enhancing the quality and sustaining the shelf life fruits, vegetables, cut flowers, and the like. The crisping technology utilizes crisping formula and process with a number of food safe ingredients to create a significantly enhanced produce crisping solution. This crisping solution has exceptional penetrating power to most effectively rehydrate selected fruits, vegetables, cut flowers, and the like. These fruits, vegetables and the like are drained and (if possible) chilled after soaking in the enhanced crisping solution. Various crisping solutions with different compositions have been provided along with the respective desirable results.
