The present invention relates to an electric cart for a wheelchair and, more specifically, to an electric cart for a wheelchair which enables a manual wheelchair to be driven the same as an electric wheelchair by coupling a cart driven by a hub motor using the power of a battery, to the manual wheelchair, and increasing the convenience of use by conveniently separating and coupling the cart from and to the wheelchair. A handle frame (11) is fixed on the top of a pillar frame (10). A hollow shaft (22) of the hub motor (20) is coupled to a bracket (13) mounted on the bottom of the pillar frame (10). A tire (24a) covers the outer surface of a cylindrical housing (21) of the hub motor (20) to rotate together by the power of the battery (26). The control components of an inverter for controlling the rotational speed of the motor and a power switch (12a) are mounted on both handles (12) of the handle frame (11). Connecting rods (14) are coupled to the lower part of the pillar frame (10) by hinges (14a) to be folded upward and are separated from and coupled to the manual wheelchair (2) by coupling units (30).본 발명은 휠체어용 전동 카트(cart)에 관한 것으로서, 더욱 상세하게는 배터리의 전원으로 허브모터(hub motor)에 의하여 구동되는 카트(cart)가 수동휠체어에 결합되어 전동휠체어와 같이 주행할 수 있고, 카트가 휠체어에서 간편하게 분리 및 결합되어 사용의 편의성을 높여줄 수 있도록 한 발명에 관한 것이다.전술한 본 발명은, 지주프레임(10)의 상부에는 핸들프레임(11)이 고정되고, 지주프레임(10)의 하부에 장착된 브래킷(13)에는 허브모터(20)의 중공축(22)이 결합되어 고정되며, 허브모터(20)의 원통형 하우징(21) 외부에는 타이어(24a)가 씌워져 배터리(26)의 전원(電源)을 인가 받아 함께 회전되고, 핸들프레임(11)의 양측 핸들(12)에는 모터의 회전속도를 조절하는 인버터(inverter)의 제어구성과 전원 스위치(12a)가 장착되며, 지주프레임(10)의 하부에 커넥팅로드(14)가 힌지(14a) 결합되어 상부로 접혀지고, 커넥팅로드(14)는 결합수단(30)에 의하여 수동휠체어(2)와 분리 및 결합될 수 있도록 구성한 것을 특징으로 하는 휠체어용 전동 카트에 의하여 달성될 수 있는 것이다.
