PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an advanced product and appliance including a dental wedge and a matrix band which are excellent in design and more suitable for restorative treatment on both posterior and anterior teeth. A wedge for use in a dental restorative procedure for an anterior tooth. The wedge includes a handle portion, a body portion coupled to the handle portion and extending outwardly from the handle portion, and a matrix band coupled to the body portion. The body portion is adapted to be disposed in the abutment space between the anterior tooth and the tooth adjacent the anterior tooth. The matrix band is adapted to contact the anterior tooth when the body portion is disposed in the adjacent space.
