The present invention relates to a method for restoring cancer cells to normal cells by using a specific molecular target. According to the present invention, it has been newly ascertained that SETDB1 is a key protein for regulating the growth and differentiation ability of cancer, and that, when SETDB1 is inhibited, the malignancy of cancer cells is remarkably reduced and differentiation into a normal cell state is promoted, and thus SETDB1 can provide a novel molecular target for the prevention or treatment of cancer and is effectively usable in the development of new anticancer drugs.La présente invention concerne un procédé pour restaurer des cellules cancéreuses en des cellules normales à l'aide d'une cible moléculaire spécifique. Selon la présente invention, il a été nouvellement établi que SETDB1 est une protéine clé pour réguler la capacité de croissance et de différenciation du cancer, et que ,lorsque SETDB1 est inhibé, la malignité des cellules cancéreuses est remarquablement réduite et la différenciation en un état cellulaire normal est favorisée, et ainsi SETDB1 peut fournir une nouvelle cible moléculaire pour la prévention ou le traitement du cancer et est efficacement utilisable dans le développement de nouveaux médicaments anticancéreux.본 발명은 특정 분자 타겟을 이용하여 암세포를 정상세포로 되돌리는 방법에 관한 것으로, 본 발명에 따른 SETDB1은 암의 성장과 분화능을 조절하는 핵심 단백질이며, SETDB1 억제 시 암 세포의 악성이 현저히 감소하고 정상 세포와 같은 상태로의 분화가 촉진됨을 새롭게 확인하였는바, SETDB1은 암의 예방 또는 치료를 위한 신규한 분자 타겟을 제공할 뿐만 아니라, 항암 신약개발에 유용하게 활용될 수 있다.
