PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an X-ray diagnostic apparatus which improves efficiency of techniques using a guide wire.SOLUTION: An imaging mechanism 10 includes an X-ray tube 11 and an X-ray detector 13 for collecting live images of a subject. An extracting section 37 repeatedly extracts the distal region of the guide wire from the live images. A memory section 41 temporarily stores the trajectory of the distal region extracted during a period designated by a user among the repeatedly extracted distal region.
