A connector 16 for coupling a medical sensor 14 to a medical monitor 12 includes a first pin 100A coupled and a second pin 100B each electrically coupled to a first LED 70 and to a second LED 72, respectively, of an emitter 20 of the medical sensor 14. The connector 16 includes a third pin 100C electrically coupled to a cathode 73 and a fourth pin 100D electrically coupled to an anode 71 of a detector 22 of the medical sensor 14.
