PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new means for cultivating agricultural crops, capable of enhancing yields and quality and reducing an operational burden of soil replacement, etc.SOLUTION: An apparatus A for cultivating fruit vegetables, in which a solid medium 3 formed with a cross section approximately in the form of inverted V is longitudinally placed on a cultivation bed 2, and a similar method of cultivating fruit vegetables, are provided. By forming the solid medium 3 with a cross section approximately in the form of inverted V, cultivation areas per unit plane can be increased, and the appropriate water retention and ventilation properties of the solid medium 3 can be achieved. Since yields and quality similar to those by conventional methods can be maintained even if fruit vegetables are cultivated on the solid medium 3, the yields of agricultural crops can be increased as a whole. Also, by tilting the medium, damage to the fruits of the fruit vegetables can be prevented and the quality of the crops can be enhanced. In addition, the use of the solid medium eliminates the need to replace soil, and the use of a lightweight solid medium facilitates medium replacement. Thus, the operational burdens of soil replacement, medium replacement and the like can be greatly reduced.COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT【課題】収量・品質を向上でき、かつ、土壌交換などによる作業負担を軽減できる農作物の新規栽培手段の提供。【解決手段】断面略逆V字状に形成された固形培地3が栽培ベッド2上に長手方向に配置された果菜類栽培装置A、及び、同様の果菜類栽培方法であり、固形培地3を断面略逆V字状に形成することにより、単位平面当たりの栽培面積を拡大でき、また、固形培地3の適度な保水性・通気性を実現できる。固形培地3で果菜類の栽培を行っても、従来の方法と同等の収量・品質を保持できるので、全体として、農作物の収穫量を向上できる。また、培地を傾斜させることにより、果菜類の果実の損傷を防ぐことができ、収穫物の品質を向上できる。加えて、固形培地を用いるため土壌交換が必要なく、軽量の固形培地を用いるため培地交換も容易である。従って、土壌交換・培地交換などの作業負担を大幅に軽減できる。【選択図】図1
