The present invention relates to an oral composition which comprises 1-70% by weight of a humectant 1-70% by weight of an abrasive compound 0.001-5% by weight of a plant extract comprising one or more flavonoid, catechin, polyphenol, and tannin compounds an antioxidant selected from stannous compounds, stannate compounds, ammonium sulfates, BHT, and sodium metabisulfite and from 0.01 to 6% by weight water.
