PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a body stabilizer for angling designed to stabilize the position of a waist, and reduce fatigue when boarding a fishing boat, and carrying out angling.SOLUTION: The body stabilizer includes a support 14 having a plurality of insertion holes bored at a prescribed interval a U-shaped member 15 provided at the top of the support 14 a long screw 21 fixed to the U-shaped member 15 with a nut a waist supporting part 22 provided in an extension part of the long screw 21 for supporting the waist of an angler and a positional regulating flange 13 mounted on the outer periphery of the support. The body stabilizer is used by inserting the support 14 into each rod standing hole 105 of the top edge 108 of the fishing boat. The angler carries out the angling while leaning the waist on the waist supporting part 22.
