This disclosure pertains to methods of treating a neuro-inflammation disorder in a subject, comprising administering to a subject in need thereof an effective amount of a composition comprising a flavonoid, or a structurally related analogue, olive kernel extract, hydroxytyrosol, and berberine, and, optionally, one or more ingredients selected from the group consisting of a sulfated proteoglycan, oleocanthal, a CRH antagonist, S adenosylmethionine, a histamine 1 receptor antagonist, a histamine 3 receptor agonist, emu oil, oregano oil, grape seed oil, aloe extract, biotin, and selenium. Certain of the present compositions are useful in protecting against or treating neuro-inflammation associated with allergies, Alzheimers disease (AD), atherosclerosis, asthma, Autistic Spectrum Disorders (ASD).
