A new method for the recovery of plumbagina, characterized by its simplicity and effectiveness, from plants of the genus Drosera is described in this inven\u00c7\u00c3o.The process involves the preparation of an extract from any species of the genus Drosera prod\u00datora of plumbagina using n-hexane as solvent for extraction and subsequent purification of the extract obtained with a column of the extraction phase s\u00d3lida for obtaining a thin product. L a purity of 99%.The plumbagina is a naphthoquinone with commercial value that has been studied intensively from the point of view farmacol\u00d3gico and has shown activity against several biological targets.
