A device (1) for removing air from an anatomical cavity (6) in a surgical intervention, comprising a flexible catheter (2) with one or more lumens (10, 11) having a proximal end (3) and a distal end (4), each lumen (10, 11) having one or more holes (12. 13) at a terminal portion (9) of the catheter (2) comprising the distal end (4), there being further provided an aspiration means (5) for aspirating air from the anatomical cavity (6), an insufflation means (7) for insufflating, into the anatomical cavity (6), an air replacement gas having a higher density than air, and a means (8) for lifting said terminal portion (9) of the catheter (2) for the placement thereof at the top of the anatomical cavity (6), the insufflation means (7) and said aspiration means (5) being connected to the proximal end (3) of the catheter (2).La présente invention concerne un dispositif (1) pour éliminer l'air d'une cavité anatomique (6) au cours d'une intervention chirurgicale, comprenant un cathéter flexible (2) présentant une ou plusieurs lumières (10, 11), ayant une extrémité proximale (3) et une extrémité distale (4), chaque lumière (10, 11) ayant un ou plusieurs trous (12, 13) au niveau d'une partie terminale du cathéter (2) comprenant l'extrémité distale (4), dans laquelle est en outre disposé un moyen d'aspiration (5) pour aspirer l'air de la cavité anatomique (6), un dispositif d'insufflation (7) pour insuffler, dans la cavité anatomique (6), un gaz de remplacement d'air ayant une densité supérieure à celle de l'air, et un moyen de levage (8) de ladite partie terminale (9) du cathéter (2) pour son placement au sommet de la cavité anatomique (6), le moyen d'insufflation (7) et ledit moyen d'aspiration (5) étant reliés à l'extrémité proximale (3) du cathéter (2).
