The method involves bringing a high and a low-frequency current into the body of a patient, and feeding the determined high and low-frequency-impedances into a calibrated neural network. Multiple neural networks are generated with different initial values for more exact determination of impedance. The blood sugar content is determined by the neural network, and is displayed on a display. An independent claim is also included for a device for non-invasive determination of the blood sugar content in the blood by measuring the impedance of the body of patient or a part of the body of patient.
