PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent an animal repellent action from decreasing by varying a frequency of sound waves and an emission time of sounds.SOLUTION: An animal repellent device includes control means 30 that outputs a sound wave control signal of a randomly varying frequency when receiving an animal detection signal or when a scheduled time has come at a time interval as a downtime, sound wave transmitter 40 that transmits sound waves on the basis of the sound wave control signal outputted from the control means 30, and sound emission means 50 that emits sounds on the basis of a sound wave signals outputted from the sound wave transmitter 40. The control means 30 has a function of randomly selecting a downtime from a range of 1 to 3 sec, a function of repeatedly outputting the sound wave control signal only in a period of 0.5 to 1.5 sec at an interval of the downtime, and a function of randomly varying the frequency at an interval of a period selected from a range of 0.5 to 2 msec.
