The invention provides a pMDI inhaler (20) comprising a pMDI canister (22), a vortex device, an integral horn (58) and a breath-activated mechanism (26, 28, 34, 66, 78). The canister (22) contains a formulation comprising a combination of an inhaled corticosteroid (ICS) such as fluticasone and a long-acting beta-agonist (LABA) such as sameterol. The combination of the vortex inhaler (20) with the asthma medication results in an increased lung absorption of the respirable dose.
