PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for improving the visualization of a catheter during a procedure.SOLUTION: An apparatus for use with a catheter includes a sheath 26 configured to be inserted into a body of a subject 22, and a sensor 20 coupled to the sheath 26 and configured to detect an electric current passing through the catheter 34 when the catheter 34 passes through the sheath 26 into the body of the subject.
