PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an endoscope apparatus having significantly high illuminance in a display area of an analyte and capable of inhibiting deviation of illuminance distribution.SOLUTION: An endoscope apparatus includes: an illumination window group located at a distal end of an endoscope and including at least three illumination windows emitting illumination light for illuminating an observation object area of an analyte and an image pickup part for photographing the observation object area of the analyte to which illumination light is applied. The illumination window group includes at least two first illumination windows and a second illumination window that emit illumination light with different light quantities respectively. The quantity of illumination light emitted from the first illumination windows is smaller than the quantity of the illumination light emitted from the second illumination window. The first illumination windows are so arranged that optical axes 20a and 20b of the illumination light beams emitted from the first illumination windows are located at an analyte photographed area 21 on which the analyte out of the image photographed by the image pickup part is photographed.
