To provide a medical device connection station for docking with a medical computer device to transfer medical data from the device to a remote server system.SOLUTION: A medical device connection station 10 obtains medical data 4 from a docked medical device 6, connects to a server system 8, and obtains a data session to transfer the medical data to the server system. The medical device connection station includes a lid connected to its main unit so as to be movable between a first position and a second position. The lid in the first position prevents a first portion of a docking interface from docking with a second portion of the docking interface of the medical device 6. The lid in the second position enables the first portion of the docking interface to dock with the second portion of the docking interface.
