PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetic resonance imaging apparatus capable of determining a reception gain of an MR signal in a short period of time.SOLUTION: A magnetic resonance imaging apparatus includes: a reception gain storage part, a reception gain acquisition part and a generation part. The reception gain storage part stores at least one of patient information and photographing condition, and reception gain of a magnetic resonance signal in association with each other. The reception gain acquisition part acquires a corresponding reception gain from the reception gain storage part on the basis of at least one of the patient information and the photographing condition of the subject specified for imaging the subject. The generation part receives magnetic resonance signals of the subject with an amplification due to the reception gain acquired in the reception gain acquisition part, and generates image data on the basis of the received magnetic resonance signals.【課題】より短時間でMR信号の受信ゲインを決定することが可能な磁気共鳴イメージング装置を提供することである。【解決手段】実施形態に係る磁気共鳴イメージング装置は、受信ゲイン保存部と受信ゲイン取得部と生成部とを備える。受信ゲイン保存部は、患者情報及び撮像条件の少なくとも一方と磁気共鳴信号の受信ゲインとを関連付けて保存する。受信ゲイン取得部は、被検体のイメージング用に特定された前記被検体の患者情報及び撮像条件の少なくとも一方に基づいて前記受信ゲイン保存部から対応する受信ゲインを取得する。生成部は、前記受信ゲイン取得部において取得された前記受信ゲインによる増幅を伴って前記被検体の磁気共鳴信号を受信し、受信した前記磁気共鳴信号に基づいて画像データを生成する。【選択図】 図５
