PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pharmaceutical composition for the treatment, diagnosis, or prognosis of skin disease which comprises as an active ingredient a therapeutic compound which acts as a recombinant serine protease inhibitor or a serine protease inhibitor.SOLUTION: Several serine proteases including kallikrein, urokinase, plasmin, tryptase-like and neutrophile elastase enzymes are expressed in epidermis. These serine proteases are involved in epidermal cell proliferation, cell differentiation, skin and lipid barrier homeostasis and tissue remodeling, and involved in proteolysis of corneodesmosomes which is a crucial event prior to shedding of the outermost skin layer. Because increased protease activity, including kallikrein, plasmin and urokinase enzymes are implicated in inflammatory reactions of the skin, the invention provides a biologically active fragment having a serine protease inhibitor or a serine protease inhibitor activity as an active ingredient in the pharmaceutical composition for the treatment, diagnosis, or a prognosis of a skin disease.【課題】組換え型セリンプロテアーゼ阻害剤又はセリンプロテアーゼ阻害剤として作用する治療化合物を有効成分とする、皮膚病の治療、診断又は予後のための医薬組成物の提供。【解決手段】表皮ではカリクレイン、ウロキナーゼ、プラスミン、トリプターゼ様好中球エラスターゼ酵素等、いくつかのセリンプロテアーゼが発現し、表皮性細胞増殖及び細胞分化、皮膚及び脂質バリアホメオスタシス、組織リモデリング等に関与し、また皮膚最外層の脱落前に生じる重要な事象である角質層デスモソームのタンパク質分解に関与しており、カリクレイン、プラスミン、ウロキナーゼ酵素を含むプロテアーゼ活性の上昇は、皮膚の炎症反応に関係があることから、皮膚病の治療、診断又は予後のための薬学組成物における有効成分としてのセリンプロテアーゼ阻害剤又はセリンプロテアーゼ阻害剤活性を有する生物学的に活性なフラグメントの提供。【選択図】図３０
