The present invention relates to an apparatus and a method for analyzing the status of a subject based on an electrocardiogram signal acquired from a bed. An R-peak interval (RRI) and heart rate variability (HRV) of a subject lying in bed are calculated by acquiring an electrocardiogram signal of the subject.
