PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To appropriately determine a spin labeling area despite a posture of a head part subject to imaging in a magnetic resonance imaging by ASL (Arterial Spin Labeling) method.SOLUTION: A labelling area determination device detects a gradient of the head part with respect to a body axis direction subject to the imaging, and determines a gradient of the spin labeling area with respect to the body axis direction of the subject on the basis of the detected gradient of the head part. For example, as the gradient of the head part, a rotation angle component about an AP axis is detected on the basis of a slice axis direction of the set imaging area.
