PURPOSE: A manufacturing method of absorbent foam is provided to absorb a plurality of aqueous solution, to facilitate use of deformed foam products such as cylinder, cube, slab, etc according to process shape, and to be used as a culture medium for cultivating fabric. CONSTITUTION: Absorbent foam comprises 30-90 parts by weight of phenol resin, 1-60 parts by weight of a surfactant, 1-50 parts by weight of a pH modifier, 1-30 parts by weight of residual acidic hardener, and is obtained by blowing the mixture. The density is 0.01-0.05 g/cm^3, pore diameter is 30-1000 micron, and the content of open pore is 85-100%. The manufactured phenol resin is manufactured by mixing 0.5-10 parts by weight of a basic catalyst and the balance of formaldehyde to 40-75 parts by weight of phenol.본 발명은 수경재배용 흡수성 발포체, 이의 제조방법 및 이를 이용한 발포폼에 관한 것이다. 본 발명의 발포체는 소량으로 다량의 수용액을 흡수할 수 있고, 가공형태에 따라 실린더, 큐브, 슬라브 등의 변형된 발포체 제품의 이용을 용이하게 하는 효과가 우수하여, 작물 재배용 배지로 유용하게 사용될 수 있다.
