The present invention is directed to a process for making a tissue regeneration matrix. The process comprises providing a collagen-glycosaminoglycan-tropoelastin dispersion freeze-drying the dispersion to provide a porous freeze-dried matrix and then crosslinking the porous freeze-dried matrix.
