An injector comprises an injector housing (102), an intraocular lens (200) disposed within said housing, said intraocular lens having first and second interconnected, coaxial viewing elements (202,204), and a lens carrier (104), said lens carrier being operable to move said intraocular lens (200) from a home position of said intraocular lens along a continuously longitudinal path, said continuously longitudinal path extending distally from said home position, past a single-element engagement surface (120) located distal of said home position, and between opposed lens-compacting surfaces (131,133) located distal of said single-element engagement surface.
